The Via Assistencial, Grup Som Via Private Foundation is a non-profit organisation of social action, with a long history of caring for people in need of support and/or at risk of social exclusion.
The Bosch Aymerich Foundation is collaborating with this entity with the construction of a new residential centre, which will be the only centre in Barcelona that will offer care to people diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders).
The centre has a capacity for 48 people and will offer residential services with temporary or permanent accommodation, job placement programmes, occupational services, promotion of habits of autonomy, cognitive stimulation, psychological support and other services adapted to its residents’ needs.
The Viladrosa Residential Centre is a 2,500 m2 construction conceived as a functional, modern building with rigorous lines that blends into its surroundings, the parish building of Sant Sebastià designed by the architects Josep Ma. Martorell, Oriol Bohigas and David Mackay.
The signing of the collaboration agreement took place in February in the presence of the President of the Via Assistencial Foundation, Mr. Jaume Viaplana Miralles and Mr. Andrés Escarpenter Ferran, patron of the Bosch Aymerich Foundation.
