Bosch Aymerich Private Foundation and La Obra Social de “La Caixa” Scholarship Award Ceremony
For the second year, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Bosch Aymerich Private Foundation and the Caja de Ahorros y Pensiones de Barcelona Banking Foundation, “la Caixa” to award study grants for intermediate and advanced studies for the inhabitants of the municipalities of Alp, Das and Urús, and, as a novelty, the awarding of two Doctorate and Master grants for the inhabitants of the whole Cerdanya region.
The agreement was signed on 20 November 2017, attended on behalf of the Foundation by Xavier Nolla (Vice-chairman and Director of Masella), Antoni Bosch (Secretary) and Elena Cabarrocas (Member and member of the Foundation’s Permanent Commission) and Maite Martí (Commercial Director of Masella), and on behalf of the Banking Foundation La Caixa, Jaume Masana (Territorial Director of Catalonia), Jordi Porta (Zone Director) and Marc Porta (Office Director). The aim of the scholarships is to help promote the best education for the inhabitants of the region of Cerdanya as a means to enhance their future development through a more prepared population. It is also one of the Foundation’s objectives, through the business activity of its companies, as a way of giving back to these populations part of the profits obtained by their activity.
In this edition, 37 applications were submitted, of which two PhD and Master grants have been awarded with an average score of 8.95 and a total value of 10,000 euros, and fifteen intermediate level and university degree grants with an average score of 7.50 and a total value of 30,000 euros, adding up to a total of 40,000 euros in grants awarded.
